Mullet
Life Cycle: Mullet spawn in nearshore and possibly inshore waters during spring and summer.
Migration: In mid-August as temperatures cool in the northern climates mullet start their journey south. The run passes by Amelia Island from mid-August to mid-October. This is the best fishing of the year for anything that eats mullet. Mullet are present in lesser number much of the year around Amelia Island.
Fishing Tips: Cast Net
Food Value: OK but make better bait than food.
